I made a mistake when speaking about where CONCEPTION occurs during ovulation! 
 

CONCEPTION occurs in the uterine tube during ovulation. CONCEPTION successfully happens when the sperm fertilizes the egg.

IMPLANTATION occurs in the uterus during the luteal phase. IMPLANTATION successfully happens when a fertilized egg can burrow it's way into the uterine lining and prompt a missed period.
